Bali is a seaside village north of Crete, 50 km away from Heraklion, has several mild windy beaches with green water and a small harbor.

In the old days, most of the inhabitants were professionally engaged in fishing, and today several entrepreneurs are active in the tourism sector.

The harbor of the village is a starting point for boat trips to the city of Rethymnon, which follow a route full of beautiful beaches and impressive rock formations. The most popular beaches are Karavostassi and Varkotopos, which are organized and next to them are several taverns and shops. There are all the necessary infrastructure for a safe and pleasant visit or stay such as pharmacy, restaurants, diving school and entertainment centers.

If anyone is interested in expanding his exploration and in the neighboring areas, he could visit the Atali Monastery and the church of Panagia Harakiani.
